She curates an Instagram account called OlderWiserStronger about active, outdoor women over 40 and loves to ski, mountain bike, read, cook, get better at Spanish and hang out with her daughter, husband, and two dogs.

Fran spent all of her career working in nonprofits and government, most recently as a Health Promotion Specialist at Mesa County Public Health. She’s now exploring retirement, balancing multiple new opportunities to reinvent herself with the heavy demands of her two feline dependents, Daisy and Lily. She moved to the Grand Valley from Wisconsin in 2006.
Leigh Fitch was the Program Director and Co-Founder of Neural Activity, which started in Mesa County in 2013. She enjoys working in stained glass as well as yoga, rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, and camping with her husband and two dogs.
Melissa is a wife to an amazing husband and mother to two wonderful children. She moved here from Ft. Worth, TX in 2001 to attend then Mesa State College and instantly fell in love with Colorado. Melissa graduated with a BA in Criminology and Mass Communications and a minor in Political Science.

Mary is the Executive Administration Manager at Mesa County Public Health. She is a Mesa County native with two children. When not acting as a shuttle service for her children, Mary likes to swim, read and bake. Mary and her youngest daughter both have Celiac disease, so developing gluten-free recipes that are both healthy and tasty has become her mission!
Lindsay Maurer is an exercise physiologist and massage therapist. She is part of the amazing Wellness Team at Colorado Canyons Hospital and Medical Center in Fruita.
Heather Biller Gerson is a full-time soccer and golf mom to her son, daughter, and their English springer spaniel, Archie. When she’s not watching her kids on the field, Heather enjoys cooking, hiking, yoga, skiing and entertaining friends and family.
